NEW: FastMM4 Options Interface

Today I am releasing a little application I wrote to help folks that perhaps don't have the confidence to read through the FastMM4Options.inc file and determine what options they want to activate/deactivate for their copy of FastMM4.

To download the full version of FastMM4:
FastMM on sourceforge by Pierre le Riche
To download the installation file:
FastMM4 Options Interface

This utility was written in CodeGear Delphi 2007
Installation program was created with InstallAware 7 Studio

Lets pad out this post with some images...

Regular options

Showing dependant options

UPDATE: I must add that Pierre has done an awesome job in creating and documenting each compiler option. The comments that are displayed are directly from the options include file. I have not added to any of the descriptions.

Let me know if you find it useful.

Thanks Jeremy, it's very nice.
I noticed a small bug though: if you have different copies for different projects/versions in separate folders, loading a new FastMM4Options file duplicates the items on screen. Kinda confusing at first, but after closing it reopens the latest one only... No big deal.

Hi François,

Thanks for that. I'll get that fixed.

Eventually I'll release the source. I just used basic VCL controls with the intention of making the source available.

cheers,
Jeremy

gauthamji,

As long as you have a FastMM4Options.inc file, it shouldn't matter what Delphi version you are using.

any thoughts to put it as plugin for IDE?
another thing is - it could write path and some other settings into IDE cfg and/or project config file.

K,

Looks interesting, but it'll wont install, just has some Fatal error :(

Installer don't give any good error report.
